Mistakes we should avoid in Pencil Sketching the Portraits

Mistakes that should be avoided while Pencil Sketching the Portraits:

curves and bends in hand
As we are using pencil sketching, We do too many mistakes without our knowledge. And the worst thing is when it is found by someone mocking our sketching. It would be embarrassing at that time. So it better to avoid some mistakes to make our Art-Sketching Shine...

Curves And Bends:
Curves and Bends are the important part where we should concentrate more to avoid silly mistakes that leads to blunder change in the overall sketch. We should be more conscious while drawing the parts of body like legs, hands, face and hair & dresses, because these are the parts were curves and bends plays a major.
For example: there should not be a long or bend in the young face else it may look like a aged face. Also the baby face needs only very small number of curves and bends, and in old face curves and bends will be in more numbers. So we should sketch accordingly.

Air flow
Air Flow Direction :
Mistake in air flow is one of the major mistake that might occur unknowingly. Usually it occurs when sketching the hair in one direction and dress in opposite direction or the other direction.

Shades And Shadows:
Shadows should not be like another figure or different that does not match with the figure instead it should be along with the figure we draw. Shades in the figure should hide or make the figure dark and awkward. Shadows and Shades depends on the light source and if the light falls from east direction the shades and shadows should be in the exactly opposite direction, also it depends on the timing in some cases.

Costume Mistakes:
This mistake might be occurred by beginners. That is the costume or dress should be over the body of the figure and it should not be unfinished. The designs and curves & bends in the dresses should be perfect so as to enhance the output.
